本報訊
香港中文大學海外校友會訂於2006年8月6日(星期日)上午11時半，假座屋崙華埠富興中心二樓牡丹閣酒樓舉行校友會成立25周年纪念，暨新書『中大人在舊金山』發佈午餐聯歡會。該會從不收會費，但今次聚餐，成人餐費每位$25，七歲以下兒童免費(以不佔成人座位為限)

校友會指出，該活動包括頒發服務獎，銘謝獎，文章誦讀，校友會想當年，
校友第二代聚舊， 新書發佈，分發新書给贊助人，及作者等.
該會還介紹說，
『中大人在舊金山』一書共刊登了34篇各行各業的香港中文大學校友及退休教職員文章，述說在美國的奮鬥故事，生活及見聞。全彩色印刷，共352頁，並收集了校友會25年來活動相片，極具收藏價值，歡迎各界訂購。

The objectives of this press conference are to celebrate the Silver Jubilee and to launch the recent publication "The CUHK Alumni in the San Francisco Bay Area". This colorful book consists of articles contributed by local alumni and a photo album of its alumni activities of the past 25 years. The proceeds from the book sale will be donated to poor primary schools in China.
The Overseas Alumni Association of the Chinese University of Hong Kong was established as OAACUHK in August 1981, and was incorporated as a non-profit organization of California in 1982. It does not charge membership fee but welcomes alumni to donate and contribute to OAACUHK. The Chinese University of Hong Kong is acknowledged locally, nationally and internationally as a first-class comprehensive research university. It consists of four constituent colleges: Chung Chi College (founded in 1951), New Asia College (founded in 1949), United College (founded in 1956) and Shaw College (founded in 1986). As of March 2003, it has seven faculties: Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Business Administration, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Science and Faculty of Social Science. It has 61 academic departments and 54 graduate divisions. It offers 53 majors, 37 minors and 2 part-time undergraduate programs. Its postgraduate programs consist of 61 doctorates, 123 masters and 10 diploma programs. CUHK total enrollment is 15,508.

銀禧纪念
會長，各位教授，各位師兄師弟，各位師姊師妹，各位來賓：
一九八一年香港中文大學海外校友會在三藩市宣告成立。今天香港中文大學海外校友會巳屆廿五周年慶典。校友會董事會有見及此﹐特委任編輯小組編纂此廿五周年紀念特刊﹐命名為「中大人在舊金山」。編印校友會各項活動的生活照片及報導本會校友在美洲生活近況﹐出洋升學及謀生的人生經歷﹐創業及建立家庭的甜酸苦辣的滋味。當有其珍貴紀念之意義。目的是藉此特刊增強校友間之聯繫﹐享受人生的樂趣﹐繼往開來﹐發展校友會事務。同時為了響應中大校友會聯會的小扁擔勵學行動籌募經費﹐此書出售之收益將全部捐給小扁擔勵學行動。
今日我想和各位講的，不外是四個字：[繼往開來]。廿多年來﹐承蒙各位熱心校友及教授的愛護與支持﹐慷慨捐贈時間與金錢。由創會至今每年海外校友會都有舉辦豐富節目﹐如春宴﹐聖誕聯歡會﹐夏日郊遊﹐季刊通訊等等。間中還有其他歡迎外埠來訪的同學、校友或教授的聚餐會。這些活動最终目的是使校友們能有機會聚首一堂，談天說地，互相切磋，互相幫助。講來講去，總是一句講哂
[中大人一家親]。最近，我們更設有學長計劃﹐使不同年代校友及同學們能有機會互相接觸，師兄師姊們能幫幫師弟師妹。
我們又設有網络論壇及網頁通訊，使住在不同地區的校友將距離拉近，有更多的機會互相接觸。
我們不收會費。我們的經費由何處來呢！全靠校友們捐助。位熱心校友及教授的愛護與支持﹐慷慨捐贈時間與金錢。使我們的網络論壇，網頁通訊，及季刊通訊等等能繼續運作。希望校友們繼續為發展校友會事務而努力。
總之，今日大家歡聚一堂，多飲幾杯，多講幾句，多食一點，盡情歡樂，盡顯
[中大人一家親]
的精神，謝謝。
